MISSION STATEMENT

The introduction of Quantum Mechanics and its application to Chemical principles is perhaps the most crucial and difficult stage of an undergraduate chemical education. We are now embarked upon that adventure.

For some, the concepts of Quantum Mechanics are completely alien to normal experience. This, in conjunction with the inability or unwillingness to assimilate new nomenclature and concepts, makes the study of this subject difficult, but only for those few who let it. Most students, however, have the ability to maintain an open mind and the stamina to reexamine the commonplace with new 'eyes', and find learning Quantum Mechanics easy and fulfilling.

We are free to pursue this knowledge in anyway that we see fit, and are charged at the very onset to make the pursuit of this goal as enjoyable as possible. We will use as many new and innovative tools as we can find. We will be capable of covering material far beyond the level of the text. But most importantly we can do this together, for it is in each other that we find our greatest strength.
